I read your initial post in this thread and thought, yeah, I guess that's what these forums are for though, but I always get at least a wry grin when certain posters come out and bag the use of 'pretty charts' especially when many chartists here are prepared to put their nic on the line and nominate entry points or exit points or even just direction.

The alternative seems to be 'Blah blah, blah, the economy. Blah, blah, blah, business plan. Blah blah blah company x. All care and, well, nothing else really.

Or the other alternative. Company Y looks like heading Up/down/round and round (pick one).

Why?

Well, usually no reason, might just as well admit they dreamt it last night. Or more likely just bought/went short/what ever and now wish it would do that to make the trade work out. LOL!!

I know that as a chartist posting predictions, especially specific predictions that I am then either specifically right or wrong.

I was wrong on AMP, clearly but at least I can form a new price series from that event of $7 breaking.

I was right NVS.

But if I just said I like NVS and I don't like AMP - fullstop -I might as well not have bothered posting imo.

Anyway, lots of good stuff - lets hope it all keeps being contributed by the growing numbers that are doing so.
