It's all very well wanting to be a "sophisticated investor" with multiple accounts, brokers who will short sell for you, an understanding of all the derivative products out there BUT, most poeple have a hard enough time making money just buying ordinary shares. I guess if you're a whizz, u might want access to a broader range of instruments, but I think it's uneccesary. Get good at ordinary share investing first would be my advice, and I think 99% of brokers would agree with me. It's easy to get too complicated and start missing the bigger picture.
