Exactly the experience I've had. I have this uncanny ability to be able to set my stops at the exact low share price reached for the day !! Another 1 cent lower and I would have missed having my stop being hit several times, usually with painful results. The tendency is to rush into trades due to the leverage and the small initial premium, and one tends buy larger parcels. This pain of a position going against you, if one does not have tight stops, can be indescribable. I also wonder whether the CFD provider plays some games sometimes as well to force positions closed.

On the other hand, I gave a tel order one day to close a position, IG didnt and I then went into a loss. I complained and they closed the position at the original higher price. They had records to check. One win there.
