    re: olive what are you on about? OK I'll let the royal commissions ride...

    Thank you. I take it that's your way of saying "You were right, I was wrong?"

    From the CAABU (Council for the Advancement of Arab-British Understanding) site that you recommend;

    I'm really not interested in what opinion was expressed on that site.

    I referred to it so that one could read the entire transcript of the Kahan Commission and the relevant headings they were under.

    Their anaysis and your for that matter are irrelevant. The Commission finshed off by saying that they were not out to impress people like yourself, but rather those of goodwill would accept their findings as being unbiased and arrived at using strict rules of law.

    Your plucking out a word here and there to support your case means that they had anticipated people like you.

    Re Force 101, neither you nor I have all the details at hand.

    Sharon was fighting an implacatable enemy. Remember, we are talking about the culture of warfare, guerilla to be more specific. He gave the other side a taste of their own medicine.

    It worked. He spoke to them in their language.They Fedayeen understood no other language, not then and possibly not even now.

    If he is to be indicted on matters relating to a war of absolute survival then every surviving member of the British miliary command during WW2 should also be indicted including the surviving military and political commanders who authorized the bombing of civilian cities both in Germany and Japan.

    So let's keep things in perspective.

    Sadam is a thug. He kills his own people, his own co-religionists and you want to put him and Sharon on the same pedestal?

    You must have a real bee in your bonnet.
