In relation to the comments on the "Ground" in the Perth Basin Area
I think the ground (Perth Basin) in that area is the proverbial haystack, and fail to believe that EGO just happened to drill in and grab the "Needle" first time.. Statistically the odds are against this, but if there are lots of needles, its different story.
My personal belief is this ground is ripe with Gas and Condensate, and the reason production failed in the 60's & 70's, in this area, is because focus shifted to Barrow Island.
Secondly the work they had carried out in the Perth Basin was Deep Test drilling for Oil and Gas deposits but abandoned this due to Mechanical failures at depth, remembering this era of exploration did not have the advantage of Extended Deep Well or Directional Drilling.
Hopefully this whole area is full of combustible surprises.
I have attached a few papers that I had found, on the Internet, regarding information on the Perth Basin
1) Perth Basin- Dept Minerals & Energy1995

2) Report -Perth Basin- Bureau Minerals, Geology & Geophysics Canberra 1966-
Historic testing for Eneabba July 1966. Note: Eneabba is 200km North of Gin Gin. I included it due to the information found in the Jurassic and other similar Formations.

And it is also interesting to note Schlumberger mentioned on the Electric Logs- Can anyone here interpret these?
