hmmmm, I thought extreme weather events were getting less not more ---------- but, supposedly the intensity is getting more extreme.
BTW your comment on climate IS changing ------------- my god, I hope so ----------- it has been changing since the earth was formed ------------- when it stops -------- we are all dead, including the planet.
Climate change, whether or not it is warming from the last glacial period or from throwing coal on the fire - in my neck of the woods IF --------------------- IF it has anything to do with it - is rather jolly --------------
Tassie had about a decade of dry - which finished about ? 3 years back ----------- locals say the years are now like when they were kids.
Well, the 10 years dry was ok unless you were a farmer or managing hydro ----------- which almost collapsed btw. - anyway, living wise the dry years were wonderful - you might have had to buy a tank of water or so - otherwise, lovely.
Now, back to the wet years ------------ also lovely, as I said, the autumns are wonderful and this year winter delayed and a glorious summer - gardens loved it in the north.
Spring is, was and probably always will be a bugger ------------------ WIND. You do get some nice days - but it isn't the best time of the year really.
Anyway -- today I have snow showers passing - in between is crystal blue sky and ringed by mountains with either snowclouds covering them or in the clear patches - very pretty white tops --------------
stock standard winter pattern.
Some would call this extreme weather ---------------------- we call it normal.
have a great day

I'm glad that the weather in your little corner of Tasmania is normal. I hope it stays that way. But the world is larger than your little town. Whether or not you choose to look past the boundaries of your property or not is up to you of course. Either way is fine. But you should not comment on things you have never seen or events you have never analysed. The same could be said for many here. And before you ask - I have.
