Well it should surprise you there pal, considering you know nothing about me, you could say almost anything and it would surprise me

Greenhouses are extremely common and becoming more and more common.

Tomatoes can be grown outside, but they grow far better inside where you can control the photoperiod, temperature, humidity, pollutants, moisture and nutrient levels. Can you not see the advantage in growing tomatoes in a greenhouse?

Wheat, canola & grapes are all very LAND intensive crops to grow and it simply would not be financially viable to grow them in greenhouses due to the crappy hectare to yield ratio so they are not very good examples. But ill let you try again if you like

Why is my aquaculture example not relevant?
Fish come from the sea which is where we would have to catch them if we didn't use fish farms right?
So it is a more cost effective way to produce the resource (fish) when it is farmed in a concentrated environment. Fish grow wonderfully in the ocean but are expensive and difficult to catch in large quantities where as fish produced of farms are "harvested" and it is far more efficient to harvest 1 t of fish than it is to catch 1 t of fish. Having been a commercial fisherman you can just take my word for it. Interesting fact for you 50 percent of fish consumed in the world last year was farmed..that is not including shellfish either. Fancy that!

Yes yes Sdajstrodamus has spoken, you may be right you may be wrong we shall see but I will happily discuss the subject with you until the cows come home.

Im not too sure where you are picking up the abusive "vibe" tho buddy, I have not abused you any more than you have abused me but you don't see me crying about it.

    Until that time Sdajaroonie
