HS - can't agree with you about the alleged 'bashers' still being around. There are a few posters - including tutes, hussy, prakasht, reichman beachdingo, mickqld, myself and a few others - who could be described as 'realists' (or maybe 'pessimists' in one or two cases) but that is hardly 'bashing'!
It is fairly common on HC threads for 'optimists' (and 'rampers') to confuse what is really just a realistic outlook with 'bashing'. I am not saying 'bashing' does not occur but I am saying that it has not appeared on the PEN threads for quite a while (with the possible exception of buc's occasional mini-grenades).
