Because Australia was involved we should not be just turning our backs to people who now find themselves in highly vulnerable circumstances; even more so since we are the wealthiest people on Earth and well-placed to make a positive difference!

lapy, my history is usually pretty good being among my favourite school subjects, when exactly were we involved
in wars in Sri Lanka or former Ceylon, what do you know that the rest of us don't, ?
did the entire Australian population have a Rip Van Winkle moment when you were saving Tamils or Tigers ?

secondly where exactly did your figure of 51 million come from ? considering that is only slightly less than the combined population of both Iraq and Afghanistan which means nearly the entire population of both countries want to leave ?

lastly, since your such a giving, caring and generous soul, I would dearly love you to tell us just how many of your estimated 51 million this wealthy country should feed and house (lets ignore momentarily our own homeless which our pollies like to acknowledge exists by having their annual sleep out in recognition of same)"

name a number,10million 5-1 ? give us something that your charitable heart is comfortable with, but please don't respond with the standard loony left nonsensical response of "whatever it takes"

take your time, I'm not holding my breath
