i think we can agree that the salary paid to RC has increased exponentially as has the salaries to the executive and non executive directors and that the company is now paying 31 staff including the well paid non executive directors ($70K odd to attend a few meetings). I see they are advertising for yet another staff member so that will make 32). RC is paid way over the industry standard, he gets about the same as a CEO of a mining junior that is well beyond the exploration phase and is producing and exploring, so paying its own way. CTP have not drilled a well under their own steam for more than 2 years so it's not as if they own and maintain a drilling rig, as you might hope with 31 staff. Damned if I know what their 31 staff do, surely organising farm outs and their seismic activity, running the pump on Surprise etc doesn't take a big staff. i would have thought that RC's 2012 salary of 300K or so plus some shares would be appropriate and that about 10 well paid staff on about $150K and a couple of non exec directors on $30K each would be about right. All of them should be working with the ambition that if they can grown the company and the share price then further riches await them, and would be provided without complaint by shareholders. The problem is that we shareholders want our cut of this company, we are not in a position where we can vote ourselves a 100% pay rise so we rely on the share price which is absolutely dismal. It looks as if the company staff and directors and doing very well for themselves but shareholders are hurting and RC and his crew need to take that on board.
