I am the director of several publicly listed companies and I can assure you that, as a director, I am very careful of the rights of shareholders and the responsibilities and obligations of the directors. First and foremost is that the shareholders own the company!
I find it absolutely extraordinary that our board has kept shareholders in the dark for so long. I would have expected them to be bending over backwards to inform and reassure shareholders. Instead we are met with a wall of silence and the confidentiality excuse which is becoming more and more absurd as time rolls by. Four Mile is AGS for God's sake and they have decided to flog it off without even consulting shareholders or providing us with facts and reasons. This board is behaving in an arrogant high handed manner with regard to shareholders and in my view the shareholders need to call them to account.
I believe there are sufficient grounds for an extraordinary general meeting to be called and directors be made to account for their actions. I also believe Pokmon's comment that a director should not be allowed to vote is valid.
I have done a 180 on this mob in the past week. If this board has any understanding of ASX regulations they will know that a shareholder revolt is not something to be ignored or trifled with.

only 5% needed for an egm isn;t it...divvy up people....would be nice if for no other reason than to get face to face with this lot....wonder who would turn up for management though
