Perth 2007, prices gone nowhere .
on a 400k mortgage , 25k per annum interest average from 07 to 14.
Rates 2k
water 1.5k
insurance 2k.
depreciation / maintenance 10k.
Holding cost 40k per annum - 7 years - 280k down the gurgler.
my rental costs over that period is about 49k.
Can someone tell me how owning over this period could have assisted my investment mix as opposed to renting?
