    Your Comments:

    Dear ABC,
RE: 4 Corners & other public information forums

With regards to the recent Parliamentary Inquiry into ASIC chaired by Senator John Williams, I wish to express my appreciation for ABC coverage of this inquiry in general terms. I was one of submitters of material considered by the inquiry committee for their final review delivered 26 June 2014. There is no mention in the review of a particular plight of PIF members and their mistreatment by ASIC.
This mistreatment was shown in this passage from ASIC letter to me penned by Greg Medcraft, ASIC Chairman:
"Wellington Capital confirmed to ASIC that it considers the amendments to be within its power and in the best interests of the members of the PIF In these circumstances ASIC is not proposing to take other action in relation to the specific issues raised in relation to the Placement and Non-Renounceable Rights"
The passage related to PIF attempts to oust Wellington Capital as a Responsible Entity and to the criminal activities of WC management to sabotage the meeting of members for that purpose.
This passage best reflects ASIC contempt for PIF members at a time of intense representations to ASIC to highlight their mistreatment.

There were at least 6 trips made by myself to Mr Medcraft Sydney offices and other locations to meet up with various ASIC Directors.
ABC was literally bombarded with requests for thorough investigation of these events via 4 Corners and other affiliated outlets.
And to our dismay, none followed.
This is despite PIF group being the largest of victim groups reviewed in the Inquiry numbering in excess of 10,300 original and mostly Retiree members.
The fact that ABC chose not to conduct a specifically targeted investigation despite numerous
public requests should be of a particular concern to you.

As we approach 6th anniversary of WC takeover of PIF (within MFS/Octaviar group at that time) and a 3rd anniversary of the criminal sabotage of PIF rights to vote, I plead with your management again to take a true and close look at this recent sliver of Australian Financial Regulatory mismanagement independently of, or even complimentary to the Parliamentary Review just completed.

I will be pleased to provide you with further material and a willingness to bring it over to your offices should it be required. I trust in your sense of compassion as evidenced by the many in-depth investigations you have conducted via 4 Corners and affiliate programs.

    Sincerely yours, Simon Grundel P.O.Box 61 COFFS HARBOUR NSW 2450 ph. 02 6651 6534
