UCG in Poland to commence, page-17

    Szaba/Crusader,

Have you fellows been hanging around PB too long? You are both starting to sound rather cynical and PB's pure at heart announcements, lol. I fully agree with the require cynicism. The bit I liked about this announcement, was something was happening, eg the equipment was being shipped to Poland, and tying in with Poland's current need to get off Russian gas. PB's plan was to create JV's for UCG developments, I trust he will be sticking to that plan, through necessity rather anything else. They don't have enough bloody money to do it a loan.

As for the other plans, I think Wyoming is on the back burner, until they can sell their EOR-CO2 oilfields. I don't think they have the technical expertise to develop a EOR project. Then they can supply the new owner plenty of available CO2 at the right price.
Umiat, I am not sure how they can spin that. They really need to drill another well, and not balls it up. Don't you think it is a bit ridiculous, a bunch of Navy boys can drill a straight hole with 1950's technology a get 400 bpd, and these lot with all the bells and whistles, drill 1000m horizontial but only manage to get 500m in target, and then only get 250bpd. Forget the 800 number, that was the pump straining at the bit to suck what it could out of the well bore that they screwed up. Umiat has potential, but it needs people who know what they are doing.
South African, UCG is still there but seems very slow. At least it is not costing LNC money.
GOM oil production seems a joke. It appears they have really lost the plot over there, and that was suppose to be the bread & butter money maker. The sub-salt well always seems to be in the future.
I am sure you all know my thoughts n the Ark basin, so I won't go into that here.

So now you have made sound like a cynic as well. I still believe yesterdays announcement was good. I would prefer to be spending money in Poland on UCG than some of there other projects, but saying that I would be expecting to see a JV of some sort to get it off the ground.

PS If they have sent their coil tubing rig to Poland, this could save a lot of money in not having to hire local rigs to drill their wells. I wonder if they have also collected a few surplus items from Wyoming to send to Poland as well? Like wellheads that were ordered in anticipation of drilling Gassifier #6. These are one of those long lead items that often get mentioned.
