Clearly I do not know the circumstances of the persons you list but I agree in general terms with Pedro's assertion.
I left school at the end of year ten and have NEVER been out of work unless by choice.
Sometimes I have had to swallow my pride and do very shitty jobs so i could put food on the table and i really believe that there are many that are not prepared to do the same.
There are many examples of people making good in Australia by sheer hard work.
One such example is Kerry Stokes, not a favourite of mine but undeniably a success story
