Interesting direction this thread has moved in. The original question was about CFD's, now it's a discussion about why futures and options are better. I think each to their own. As a full time trader, and have been for about 8 years, the last two mainly trading CFD's through CMC I have done pretty well. When you consider the daily moves, both up and down with some of the blue chips you can get a great return and don't have to hold them for long, reducing the interest you're paying and time in the market. I use live 1, 5 and 15 min charts for entries and exits for short term trades. My system works well, I get a good return and it keeps the wife happy, so what more could you want.
