You hit a pedestrian in a 4wd they never go over the bonnet. They always go under.
Anyone who drives a 4wd around town should consider the consequences of that. Nasty.
That was my one greatest fear as a 70000km a year driver over the last 20 years or so.
Had a near miss with a kid chasing a ball once.
After that I always kept the best tyres I could get on my car. Breaking distance in a 4wd is pretty average too.
