They are all possibilities,but the US couldn't prevent them happening although they would like us to believe they could.That is why the example that is being provided in the Middle East will be used by all and sundry to solve their own regional problems.The example that needs to be given is that negotiation together with firm isolation/coercion/tradeoffs is a path that needs to be developed.Some will say that it has been tried.I will agree and point out that the weakness and self centred greed of the major powers has aborted these measures in the past.They do not stay the course.A classic example is the vacuum that existed when Iraq threw the first inspectors out.The problem was put to one side while we all went on a boom binge.Now the major powers are having to clean up the mess THEY created.THEY blame Saddam when they should really be blaming themselves.
