Unfortunately BOT's or High Frequency Traders have been manipulating the market for a number of years now. The sooner it disappears and is outlawed the better. It gives the Big fish an advantage over the little fish however once the big fish polish up the little fish the little fish (Mum, Dads and small traders) leave the market and lower the demand and lower Share Prices so everone suffers.
Things are changing in the USA as the backlash against high-frequency trading is gaining momentum, with Bank of America and the New York Stock Exchange among exchanges and traders being sued by the US city of Providence.
Maybe Slater and Gordon would like to do a class action here as well.
About time we got rid of it is my Vote.
