3 weeks ago I paid $128 for a 45kg bottle at the Nimbin saw mill. From memory that was $16 cheaper than a year ago.
So for my $128 (and zero rental costs) this time around I will get approx. 12mths of cooking. Now that is way cheaper than electricity or using a wood stove.
I just rang a few domestic gas suppliers in QLD and the best price for a 45kg bottle was $31.50 & 28/year rental.
When the householder in Queensland gets gas for $9/GJ then I suppose we'll all be doing the same or similar down this way.
Mountains out of mole hill stuff is all it is.
