You do not understand what I meant by "running costs" do you?
I did indicate what I meant a little further on in my post. Perhaps you didn't notice. The RET is about replacing filthy polluting coal burners with clean renewables. Every MWH of wind power replaces coal that would otherwise have been burnt. Both major parties have agreed that this reduction in pollution is a valuable service.
Our beautiful wind turbines are expensive to build even though the free wind brings running costs close to zero as I stated before and you misinterpreted. This capital expense is offset against fund from the RET and the wholesale price. We need the RET maintained and continued so we can build more of these elegant, functional structures. Thank goodness PUP is there to provide the inexperienced coalition government with sound, grown up guidance.
