Hi billyrabbit,
As a long termer, not much, but I do think it looks pretty and also appreciate that a good portion of the market do place some importance on it.
In a traditional sense in terms of using any prediction model for stock price movement and/or ROI, no I don't!
Again, from a long term perspective this isn't necessarily important, although in the biotech sector specifically I believe there is certainly a timing component that will often put the most patient investor to the test. Look at the 3M MTA that was announced back in November 2009 which sparked a buying frenzy from $0.005c to $0.065c... + 1,200% in 90 days...?
Many were quick to blame the company, however management stated unequivocally that 3M only intended to conduct an 'In Vitro' study program, which screamed out 5 + years in the making. Unless you were a high frequency trader I'm not sure data modelling would've been too helpful back then?
Imo.
