Surprise isn't really an oilfield, it's an oil discovery. The field needs more appraisal before you can really say anything about how much it is likely to flow. Especially because this is a tight basin. Even Dingo needed 4 appraisal wells, and one of these was dry. CTP not drilling it tells me they are afraid of taking even the most basic and normal exploration risk. It is important to drill Surprise if even to understand the reservoir better, because the biggest upside in Surprise is the discovery of a new oil province.
