Stocks rally; Dow shoots past 11,000
U.S. retail sales crush estimates; oil at fresh six-week low

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- U.S. stocks rallied in afternoon trading Tuesday as a surge in January retail sales and a drop in crude-oil prices to a six-week low lifted the Dow Jones Industrial Average above the psychologically key 11,000 mark for the first time since January.
