The market can be a funny place with traders and people acting like sheep. Group mentality manipulated by large corporations, the only thing you can count on is that trends will occur. Not everyone calculates market cap, and share prices can pick up momentum, and that's what you need to get financing. You don't have to be the most promising stock to be popular, look at FMG, they started out with big ideas and no money, they became popular with the promise of Chinese funding, a bit of a self fulfilling prophecy. Hence why market sentiment is such a big factor. It can be the difference between 100M and 300M market cap
