whats reasonable amount to spend on a present, page-10

"A present for a funeral?"

i didnt think that part was bizarre, its nice to give something like flowers to someone who is grieving for someone they have lost.

What I thought was bizarre was the relationship to the grieving person - father in law

I can understand if it was her mother or father, but father in law?  Where does it all end?  

Where I work there is coffee ,cake & presents every week for someone retiring from the workforce or leaving

This is why I make it a rule to never go to work on my birthday

I cant think of any better reason not to go to work that it is your birthday, why anyone does it is a mystery to me

I think in India people take days of work for just about any reason you can imagine
