death penalty - the silent majority Well, we are going to hear the spin doctors showing people crying in the streets, right for lifers calling it a disgrace, mourners at local churches or even a minutes silence in start parliament (like qld did).

But, once again, the silent majority are not represented. I just looked on msn and the poll question is "do the bali nine ringleaders deserve the death penalty". The vote at the moment is YES- 17,247 and NO - 8161.

It is an amazing statistic but our media will not view this opinion.

I saw a great interview with the PM last night. Although he doesnt agree with the death penalty, he urged all Australians (youth) to learn a valuable lesson from this. He also mention that drugs are a problem and many deaths occur through the use of them. He stated that people can't expect our government to overturn other government rules.

Once again, this is a tragedy for all concerned. Lets hope this might deter people in the future. Instead of chasing the easy buck, maybe people will do what the rest of us have to do and get up in the morning and go to work.
