Two things:
1. Under the specifications is says that the device needs 150ul of anti coagulated whole blood. I have tried to decipher what that's means and from what I understand it needs to be drawn from the vein rather than a finger prick.
2. What is the aim of the POC Philips device? One major one is to keep people out of ER's to which 80% (from memory) who present are false alarms. Not to mention it will mean all health professionals and perhaps non professionals will be able to use the device.
i really can't see this rivalling the Philips device.
