The Forrest report that came out last week should be adopted by both sides of parliament as a positive way forward for not only our native brothers but also for dole recipients across the board.

It would save the nation millions in every regard from social welfare to health care and prevent payments from being turned into cash to buy alcohol and drugs. His logic that CASH is the problem is so true. The card will enable access to all necessities and greatly reduce the illegal alcohol & drug trade in the indigenous communities as well as the community as a whole surely.

It is to be hoped that politics can be put aside for once for the good of the people and the nation as a whole.
