This would relate to things such as reviewing drill logs but once a confirmed discovery (or otherwise) is made by CAIRN to FAR - they have to report it.

ceased to be confidential; and

Now. If you read Chapter 03 of the ASX under 'Continuous Disclosure', specifically section 3.1 states:
"Once an entity is or becomes "aware of any information concerning it that a reasonable person would expect to have a material effect on the price or value of the entity's securities, the entity must immediately tell the ASX.

Furthermore the document goes on to say "A confidentiality agreement cannot prevent an entity from complying with its obligations under the listing rules and, in particular, its obligation to give ASX information for release to the market where required by listing rules.
