The funny thing is I am going through the exact same thing in my divorce at the moment. My ex says I fail to negotiate, but for her negotiate means I do everything she says. Even when I agree to some of her demands she then goes and adds to them or changes the rules.

In the exact same way Lock the Gate said they should be able to lock the gate and the gas companies said OK that's fine and they are now saying no we did not want that, what we want is for you to go away completely.

Unfortunately you cannot win trying to have a meaningful discussion with these people and Court is the only way forward.
