There is a major flaw in the legal system, whereby a man is deemed financially liable for a child that he may not have wanted.

For the majority of people, it is expected that a relationship between a man and a woman will become sexual. It is just too easy for a woman to pretend to take the contraceptive pill, only to intentionally get pregnant by a man whom she fancies - either genetically, or financially. She has the ability to do this, even full well knowing that the man does not want a child.

Where does this leave the man if he does not want to pursue a long-term relationship/family with the woman? Deceived, heart-broken and financially liable.

It is my opinion, that if a man chooses to not want a child, he should then not be made financially liable, since it is not possible for a man wanting the child to keep it if the woman chooses on her own to not go through with the pregnancy.

The woman has all of the power surrounding the decision.

The man just has no choice but has to deal with the consequences... whether that being financially responsible for a child he didn't plan for or want, or having to live without a child he wanted and would have done anything for.

There's currently no justice as far as this is concerned.
