Ignorant post there kingpins, I suppose you blame nature for areas of degraded and salt affected farmland where most of the native vegetation has been removed for intensive farming, or acid rain downwind of industrial complexes and power stations belching out pollutants, and even the smog induced by coal burning power stations in Beijing. I guess the smog has nothing to do with the coal burning industries around Beijing and is purely an act of nature ? Surely you can see from this that what we do as humans does affect the world around us. How about the tonnes plastic rubbish in the middle of the pacific ? I guess you blame nature for that too ? Of course you do, if the wind didn't blow or rain didn't precipitate (a big word for you kingpins sorry about that) the plastic wouldn't be there would it ?
So what about most of the industrialised world belching out a greenhouse gas that is known to, and does keep this planet nice and warm for us, without which (at reasonable concentrations) the earth would be a snowball ? Logic follows and the evidence shows that at higher concentrations ( similar to throwing on an extra Doona ), the planet will get warmer overall. There's nothing particularly difficult about that concept surely ?
But unfortunately we seem have these right wing Bible bashing fools ( such as we can find in a certain cabinet room in Canberra) that humans can't do wrong, whose intellect seems to be equivalent to a tse tse fly, and anyway God will fix it for us in the end.
Well I'm sorry kingpins, but there is no God to fix it, and the Bible is just a book of fairy tales. You'd be better off reading Hansel and Gretel for all the good it will do you.
And as for vested interests making a fortune, I assure you it is not the scientists. But you might like to look in the direction of the fossil fuel industry and the hundreds of millions of dollars they are throwing around denying the affect of greenhouse gases on climate.
