Vaccine does not matter? Your theory then can be applied to any form of deadly virus. By your statement we can isolate infected populations and let them die as there is no vaccine or cure. Not to mention the fact that the doctors assisting the infected people are also dying, hence, now resulting in the doctors avoiding all impacted areas. So, I think the vaccine plays are larger role such as preventative measure as opposed to just treating victims. Have we asked our selves why literally everyone in the world was strongly recommend to get the swine flu vaccine?
Also, the WHO organisation today declared the magnitude and death toll of this outbreak is vastly underestimated. We can all make our own conclusions about this statement.
How this impacts our project? IMO the combination of the current state of emergency declared in Liberia, the current WHO declaration stated above, the fact that the virus can jump species, confirmed deaths in BOMI (literally around the mine site) and Monrovia, the chances of this virus directly impacting our project is a very very very high. And for how long? million $ question...
The question now becomes can ones investment be better utilised elsewhere...
