What's the debate about pre-heating?
Yes, its a standard step in pellitising. If for no other reason than to drive of moisture that can rapidly turn to steam shattering pellets. Also if there are elements like silica presennt like in this case it allows them to fuse adding to pellet strength. It can be done in the main kiln if it's ported.
As to Battla's commnets he has lost all credibility by past behavour. Not becasue he was wrong but becasuse he was dissembling.
