If as you say he tuned a corner and they were suddenly on the road before him...one must ask at what sort of speed was he cornering that he could not stop, nor turn to avoid the kids?

Far to early to point the blame stick at anyone in my opinion...but it would appear speed was a factor. If so, you can forget manslaughter charges, he will be looking at muder!
