    Trim,

    You actually sound borderline reaonable within your response, I do disagree that the FAR thread is comparable to TPT. I watch a few threads and think that we have a great group of people on this thread, without a lot of ignorance and or cynicism.

    If you cannot see that your comment on my post "Some of the commentary is totally ignorant or has a cynical purpose" has the risk of being taken personally than I am shocked, it is defamatory.

    I am still confused as to your objective here on this thread, and also how you somehow surmise that our objective in this drill has changed?

    How do you glean with 100% certainty that we have not found Oil from the following post?
    The last sentence states that they will tell us 'how good, how much and where, once they have finished the well' - how are you saying that you already know there is none, within the same transcript?

    So the well that we’re currently drilling FAN-1, within that well profile we will drill through those source rocks. It is one of the reasons why we’re drilling the FAN well first. And confirmation of those source rocks and their maturity and richness obviously is an important piece of the well. Clearly the most important thing is to find some commercial hydrocarbons. But this being frontier drilling any information that you can get on source rocks and reservoirs has a huge impact upon the surrounding prospectivity. So we’re pretty confident that it’s there. What you can’t tell without drilling it though is how good, how much and just exactly where it is within the well. But this will tell us once we have finished.

    The original reference to the plan is below;
    Activity

    Cairn is planning to start exploration drilling offshore Senegal with its partners in 2014, subject to necessary approvals and after its operations are completed in Morocco.
    We estimate the block-wide 'Yet to Find' resource is more than 3 billion barrels.
    One exploration well will be located in the North Fan prospect in 1,500m water depth. It will target multiple stacked structural and stratigraphic closures interpreted as trapping a variety of potential clastic and carbonate reservoirs, the two largest of which we estimate to have gross mean unrisked prospective resource of 282mmbbls and 535mmbbls respectively.
    The other exploration well is planned to be drilled on a shelf edge prospect in 1,100m of water. This dual objective prospect targets Cretaceous clastics and deeper karstified and fractured Lower Cretaceous shelf carbonates. We estimate the prospect has two targets with a gross mean unrisked prospective resource of 182mmbbls and 256mmbbls respectively.
    Drilling operations will use the Cajun Express, a deep water, fifth generation, dynamically positioned, semi-submersible drilling unit.
