good point froggy - pollies are too afraid of upsetting minorities.

back in the good old days of churchill (and probably the same for de gaulle) - poms were poms , frogs were frogs, wogs were wogs, and huns were huns etc etc.

in the good old days, pollies simply appealed to poms (etc etc) - but these days, pollies have to appeal to africans, middle easterns, far eastern, sub continent minorities etc etc - and then toss in religion.


hopefully everything will work out in the end - after all, the roman empire absorbed everything (including religion) from all peoples around the Mediterranean - and italy is still italy, rome is still rome, and egypt is still egypt......mmmm and the middle east is still the middle east

mmmm - sadly - that does not help for the present
