A lot of people have trouble cleaning squid, they bust the ink bag and make a mess
I start by carefully easing the feather back spine from the inside of the tube as far down as possible (a few inches at least) then hold it against the insides just above the beak and carefully pull, every should come out with the ink sack intact then just cut the inside from the head.
