The big difference with the arrival of Vietnamese boat people was that they worked, very hard. And gained respect accordingly.

I lay the disrespect for the current boat people firmly at the foot of the greens. They have promoted the idea that boat people will receive free highest quality care, of a standard far above what we do for our home-grown needy.
