I was under the impression, that the strength in the NEA patents is not particularly the Hyperpod, but the photo processing engine, that allows the enormous volume of photos/data to be processed from a shoot of a capital city like Sydney or melbourne, (stitched and goereferenced) in a matter of a few hours to a day or two, rather than months for traditional software technology. If you add 3D modelling, which WSR are spruiking as a potential product differentiator, this woudl blow out speed to market, even if they managed to use a similar fast processing engine while circumventing the NEA patents.
