Nil zip. Buy I am very aware of Russia's thuggish history under Stalin and the thugs that followed him. Is the West going to allow this despicable period in our history repeat itself? A period when Russia, then known as the USSR, sent its troops to smother, and kill, innocent people in Hungary (1956), Poland (1944), the annexation of east Germany in the immediate aftermath of WW11, resulting in innocent young athletes being doused with a cocktail of drugs in the name of the State, and the construction of a barbaric wall to stop the residents of Berlin from LEAVING its Communist rigidly imposed mindset.
Only the mindset of freedom loving people in the Free West, the emergence of Solidarity in Poland, and the emergence of Gorbachev, finally sealed its fate. However this freedom was obtained in spite of the many so called intelligentsia (sometimes called academics) who, for decades in the West, supported the vile regime that controlled its citizens with an iron fist, in the USSR. The same intelligentsia that now support the ex KGB thug, Putin, in his desire to annexe and refused, for decades, to accept the truth of the atrocities committed by his predecessors, in the Gulags, and elsewhere in the former, and now totally discredited, USSR.
It seems that some people can never change their thuggish behaviour.
