I think that was terrible too, but they were not in our care at the time either. I do not support the ALP solution either. My own ideas are different.
But it seems to me we're having trouble getting people to accept that letting asylum seekers die from negligence is a bad thing. So let's just try to get over that simple moral hurdle first before getting on to other things?
Do you accept that if it was due to poor medical treatment then this is unacceptable in Australia, or are you cool with a few deaths to keep the rest away?
