I had solar hot water about thirty years ago, but I paid the full cost myself, no subsidies.
It's not that I don't care, its that CAGW is bull and I resent the lies that you people put up and what you are trying to do because you are too gullible to think for yourselves.
Of course I care about the planet. I hate pollution and the most pollution comes out of third world countries. CO2 is not a pollutant.
I refused to take up the cheap solar as I am a man of principle. Someone else( me) has to pay extra to cover the subsidies that a stupid, foolish, ruinous Labor govt introduced. If solar is so good why don't we take off the subsidies and don't start on coal subsidies, which they are not( another greenie lie). You are wrong there as well.
My kids are all on the solar scheme and I don't blame them one bit, but they couldn't give a sh*t about the planet, only making their electricity more affordable. They laugh when they get a check from the sucker govt. I can only now hope that our state govt introduces a whopping big fee to be connected to the grid, to get around the lost revenue. I think that's going to happen.
I make the point once again that the only way an electricity grid can work properly,efficiently,economically is to have everybody on it. Same as a sewerage scheme, if it goes past your home you must be on it.
And bring on nuclear power. !!! ( I stood on top of a reactor once, that was pretty cool.)
