And lets not forget Tasmania produces more than enough electricity from hydro without the need of the GBF dam. Tasmania currently exports large amounts of hydro electricity into Victoria at times of high demand.

With some added power generation from say a King Island wind farm for example, Tasmania could in fact provide the equivalent of 1,000MW of zero-emissions baseload power generation for Victoria, removing the need for at least one of the giant brown coal generators in the Latrobe Valley. So who needs gas!

NSW is currently generating more sparks than it needs and its cheap as chips too but still we have a handful of investors wanting to drill up a <30 year band-aid and there isn't even an injury to treat. So who needs gas!

I think its time to halt all these silly lies about gas shortages, power shortages, massive price increases and the alleged jobs creation because there's just too many that know better and have proved it so.

So who needs gas?

Could it be a handful of gas investors causing a heap of strife far away from their own back yards?
