There is a fundamental difference between the posts of AC and those of Awoonga and HH. I would dispute some of the items AC regards as fact but I don't actually doubt his intelligence or sincerity. He's just wrong
Toastman, Take over probability is low in my opinion. The big boys in this are there for the long-term investment (that's their charter) and collectively the 3 big boys and the private group control approx 48% of the vote. Hence, no other party is likely to want to take those numbers on. There are easier targets than that
I totally agree with PGfin that the focus in here is so far away from what is really going on with the company and more about side issues. "My poor wounded ego, why don't the share holders applaud my cretin...oops, critique" ...or people are focussed on the share price for the past 5 minutes. Both of which can be real issues but have absolutely nothing to do with the performance of the management team at AVB. Frankly, I'm approaching the point where I think that forums like this serve very little purpose other than to obscure reality, a bit like the share market in general...sell a few in the close, make a loud noise about where it finished rather than where it has been all day....buy the shares of the disillusioned tomorrow. Hang on, did some one say the sky was falling? Damn, why won't they read the script. That was meant to be next weeks news when a little of the excitement has worn off from this great announcement.
I suspect I'd be more worried if the whole market was saying AVB is my darling, that would have to be a trap.
Paradoxically, as peed off as I am about some of the above issues I have never been more confident or relaxed about my holding in AVB
Looking forward to the AGM and catching up with those who come. Thinking about screwing with the bots in the close to pick up a few extra cheapies
Going back to practising tolerance....that's harder than watching AVB on a brilliant company affirming announcement!
