I don't disrespect the views of those who believe in AGW. And I don't try to belittle them because of their views. I don't object to those who genuinely believe in AGW. Freedom of expression, particularly in a forum like this, is a basic feature of the democratic society we live in. I object to the scarmongering that 'the end is near' because of AGW. The end may be near but for other reasons.
It's almost as if those who aren't convinced of AGW need permission to speak from those who are. For example, if I wanted to ask how many, of all the climate models over the past 20 years, accurately forecast the level of warming over that time, would I have permission? In this debate, there is an obvious tendency to cherry pick sources that suit one's view, on both sides. But the answer to that question should be factual.
