Decades back we had a culture of supporting "career students", who took up Uni positions and did just one degree after the other, in fields they would never enter....generally "Arts"......
My memory fails me as to the who, but there was a person (female) who was elevated into a prominent position in leftist politics as a mature adult, who had never had a job in her life, just did course after course....a "perpetual student", lol. I'll post the name if/when it emerges in my old brain...
