Hello Addiction . - have you ever talked to any one who actually runs a transporting / trucking company ? - maybe you should ........ if you broke Toll up tomorrow ...you would have a whole lot of little ( nice pun eh ) operations that would be worth between 2 & 5 times earnings in the private sector . Sure we all know that the public sector trades at a premium . Tols business is about operating trucking fleets , paying wages and , and buying fuel . Fuel accounta for about 30% of their direct operating costs - the magins they trade on are very slim - the company is valued at 4 bill - ....I'm saying thats about 2 times what they are worth ....given that their expansion prospects look remote . You can buy the stock at 20 times earnings today ....eventually you will be holding shares worth half that .
