    Ben, i note some posters were quickly accepting of many islamic scholars not deeming the burqa obligatory. Indonesia was referred to. Now if the same scholars plainly reject the points you made below, it would only be logically argued that this should also be accepted. But no, you are selective with what you choose to accept and deny according to what purpose it suits you. This is called bias.

    - Compulsory gential mutilation
    - child brides forced into marriage with much older men they have not even met
    - identities hidden behind face masks
    - wife beating specifcally allowed by the religious text
    - second class status enforced by religious text and dogma
    - forced marriages to close relatives
